Privacy Policy
This page explains in plain language how Oswego Drywall Solutions and this website work, written with Illinois law in mind. It is general information, not legal advice. Last updated 26 September 2026.
How Oswego Drywall Solutions and this website collect, use and protect your information.
Who we are
Oswego Drywall Solutions is a drywall business in Oswego, Illinois, run by Steve. This policy covers this website and the messages it sends. To reach us about your information, call or text 630-486-5585.
What you send
If you ask for a call-back, the site keeps what you enter: your name, phone number, email address if you give one, where the job is, what needs doing, and the call-back time you choose. If you apply for a job, it keeps your name, email address, phone number, experience, trades and the résumé you upload. If you book an estimate visit from a link Steve sends you, it keeps the time you choose and the address.
Where you are
When a page opens, Netlify, which hosts the site, tells it the rough town your connection comes from, so the page can say whether you are in the area the business serves. That is used for the page in front of you and is not stored. The site asks for your exact location only if you tap “Use my exact location”, and your browser asks your permission first; the answer stays in the page on your device. When one of the business’s QR codes is scanned, the site keeps when it was scanned and the rough town and point the connection comes from, to within about a mile. It never keeps your IP address or anything about your phone.
What it is used for
To get back to you, to arrange and confirm visits, to take payment for work you have agreed to, and to send the messages described below. We do not sell your information, share it for advertising, or use it to build a profile of you.
Text messages
When you give your phone number with an inquiry or a booking, you agree to receive text messages about it: a confirmation, a reminder the day before an estimate visit, a link to pay when a payment is due, and after a finished job one request for a review. These are not advertising. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message and no more will be sent; reply HELP for help.
Who else handles it
Companies that run parts of the site handle it on the business’s behalf: Supabase stores it, Netlify hosts the site, Twilio sends text messages, Resend sends email, Upstash schedules reminders and limits repeated form submissions, Cloudflare Turnstile checks that a form was sent by a person, and Sentry records errors so they can be fixed. Payments are taken through Stripe’s form on this site’s payment pages: Stripe collects the card or bank details, and details of the device used to pay (to prevent fraud), under its own privacy policy. Card and bank details go to Stripe and never reach this site.
Job applicants
An application and its résumé are used only to consider you for work with the business. The application form does not ask about your pay history or your criminal history. Oswego Drywall Solutions considers every applicant without regard to any characteristic protected by the Illinois Human Rights Act or federal law.
How long it is kept
Job applications and résumés are deleted twelve months after they arrive. Inquiries, bookings and payment records are kept as the business’s records of its work.
How it is protected
Your information travels over encrypted connections and is stored where only the business owner can read it. Résumés are kept in private storage that opens only for the signed-in owner. No way of storing information is perfectly secure; if a breach of security ever affects your personal information, you will be told in the most expedient time possible and without unreasonable delay, as the Illinois Personal Information Protection Act (815 ILCS 530) requires.
Biometric information
This website does not collect biometric identifiers or biometric information, such as fingerprints, face scans or voiceprints, as the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act (740 ILCS 14) uses those terms.
Cookies
The site sets one cookie for visitors, and only if you arrive through one of the business’s QR codes: it notes which code, and it ends when you close your browser. Signing in to the business’s dashboard uses sign-in cookies; that is for the business owner only. There are no analytics or advertising trackers, so a Do Not Track signal has nothing to switch off.
Children
This website is not meant for children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their information. If you think a child has sent us information, call 630-486-5585 and it will be deleted.
Your choices
Call or text 630-486-5585 to ask what we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted — unless we need to keep it as a record of work or payment. Reply STOP to any text message and no more will be sent.
Changes to this policy
If how the site handles information changes, this page changes with it, and so does the date at the top.
